Cooling the intake

In real numbers what gain would I see using heatwrap on an unmodified intake.
The conditions are:
101 F ambient
67% humidity
Stop and go driving under 40 mph.
These are todays conditions in DFW. The power loss is very noticeable to say the least. I know there is not alot I can do about it but even if the gain is marginal(felt) I would do the mod.
Thanks for your input.

Re: Cooling the intake

Measure the [delta] temperature between inlet and just in front of MAF or use a OBD2 scanner to read the in MAF temp sensor.

Obviously low air flow speed [in pipes filter box] is the worst case [at idle] by the time you are moving 40 mph conductive heating is insignificant ~~1%.

Love Field is 487' DFW is 600' [with your supplied temp/humidity and a guess at dew point] power is down by 10% due to outside conditions.
Now each 10 degree rise from 101F to the MAF willl decrease power by another 1% [0.95%].

What we don't know is at what ambient air temp [as read by MAF temp sensor] or at what coolant temp sensor reading the ecu goes into extra protective programming due to Summer heat.

On earlier Nissans any coolant above 195F started the process [but the G runs 6F hotter naturally] so let's guess 200F and above on the G35.

My guess is that the power might be down 15%.

Will the reflective wrap help? I doubt it on an oem stock air intake system. So much we don't know without more temp data.
