2006 G35 Coupe with Service Engine Light
I recently got a "Service Engine Light" come on. The car began to act like it was in limp mode. I restarted the engine and got the VDC Off light and the Slip light. I was on my way home so I didn't do anything until the next morning. Only the "Service Engine Light" came on in the morning. I took it to a friend who has a code reader. The code indicated the Throttle Position Sensor was having a problem. Since the car is still under waranty, I took it to the dealer. Service was good. They were up front and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need (a refreshing change from other dealers I have visited with other cars). Service was done in about 7 hours and i got the headlights replaced on the recall. The next morning, one headlight was not working. I took it in and they fixed it while I waited (20 minutes). It was a loose wire. The dealer was Mission Viejo Infiniti.
I got a G37 Sedan for a loner car. Nice, but it didn't make me want to trade my coupe.
This board has been great for me to research things and I just wanted to give back a little.
