My check engine light is on and reads bank 1 sensor 1. I got an OEM sensor from Infiniti and had a buddy replace it for me. We cleared the code but it came back on after 10 miles. So, I had Infiniti warranty the part because I figured it was defective. After replacing the sensor for a second time and clearing ecu, light came back on.

So, I went to the dealer for a diagnostic and they said it could be a wiring problem. They would have to work through the whole system to figure out. Could take 3 hours and they charge 140/hr.

If anyone else has had this problem or advice on what to do, it would be greatly appreciated.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
Those probably go to the O2 sensor that's in the cat and they could be the source of your smell.
