Engine swap..what has been done and what is possible?

Has anyone swapped in a g37 motor into a g35? I have a 03 g35 and I have the opportunity to purchase there different engines so im trying to figure out what I could use and what I could swap into my car. The engines are as follows

1. 2008 Infiniti G37 330HP

2. 2008 Infiniti G35X 306HP

3. 2004 Infiniti G35 280HP

thanks

you already have the same engine as the 280HP auto...its the same engine from 2003-2006 for all automatics.

As far as the 3.7 HR and the 3.5 HR both have been swapped into the G35. Anything is possible with money..but as far as a "direct fit" I know the 3.7 is not just "drop and play". I am assuming that the 3.5 HR might be a direct swap. I know that Nissan Sport Magazine was doing a HR swap into the the G35. I don't know how much work is required for physical fitment, but I would expect wiring to be the biggest issue.

Nissan Sport Magazine is doing an HR swap into a 350Z for their track car. The swap is less than easy. Every accessory is in a different spot. The wiring harness is completely different. They have the thing working, but are still getting bugs from the factory ECU. They said that Uprev is helping them troubleshoot the ECU issues.

I know everyone says to "just build it", but IMO a built engine could be more of a headache and much more money than a low mileage HR engine, considering low boost levels of course. The HR engine can handle boost much better than the DE. If Uprev were to release a harness adapter and ECU fix for a reasonable price then I for one might go with the HR swap. Now, this all depends on your goals. If you want 600+ hp then you are better off building an engine. If you want a 450hp daily driver then the HR and GTM TT kit is your best bet.

To the OP I do not see any mention of boost, what are your goals for the car.
