Valve Covers

Hey Guys, I changed my spark plugs today and of couse the # 6 coil had a sweat sign of oil on it. It did not make it down to the spark plug. I can see a small amount of oil at the top of the tube. The other coils are completly dry. My 2003 coupe has 75,000 miles. Since it was just a sweat, I'm going to keep running it this way before I spend the money on new VC. I don't drive it winters anymore and I don't think I'll put more than 5 to 8,000 miles on it this coming summer.I think with this low mileage the oil sweat shouldn't get much worst.Has anyone had the same issue with a sweat like leak?

We here at R&D Factory service many Nissans and Infinities daily and run into same valve cover/spark plug o-ring leak. About 75% of the vehicles that we serve have same problems. Even though its money out of customers pocket after spending so much money on these valve covers we were thinking there has to be a way to cut the cost. So here is the good news. We are in process of putting valve cover and o-ring replacement kit together in very short time. The kit will come with both driver and passenger side valve cover gasket, six o-ring gasket and a simple instruction how to replace them. MSRP on the kit is going to be $80.00 plus shipping. We will be also offering ready to install kit for $150.00 + $100 for the cores. we will ship you two valve covers(one of each driver and passenger side) with new valve cover gasket and o-rings installed. $100 core charge will be refunded as soon as you send in your covers to us. This kit should be available by end of the month or beginning of next month. You can PM us if you have any further questions.

Good stuff. I'm glad someone has come up with a solution. When I was at the dealer getting my plugs, they told me that the valve covers cost anywhere between 3 to $400.00 per side Canadian. Lots of bucks.
So if I understand this, I can purchase the kit for $80.00 or you can simply send me two valve covers with kit installed for $300.00 plus $100.00 for the cores which will be credited once you receive my old valve covers. Will you ship to Canada?

Finally got pictures to download. Im very busy so sorry about the delay. I told some people i would upload some pictures of the right hand side valve cover i have brand new in the box unused for $100 which fits 03-07 VQ35DE engines. For those of you a lil slow....it's just the right hand side valve cover that covers cylinders #1 #3 #5. I would recommend buying a new valve cover gasket and not use your old one just for peace of mind and just incase your old one is worn. If anyone also wants to know the procedures to changing out the valve covers let me know as well. I enjoy helping.

Any status on this ? I too have the issue with #6. I would love an alternate solution to the valve cover replacement.
