good link to a guy who took apart all major brands of oil filters to examine what they were made of. Amsoil seems to be the best constructed

I use Napa Gold, which is made by Wix. The Amsoil might be a better filter, but I'd like to see the spec sheets (Beta ratios specifically) rather than a video. It's also twice as much as most filters. Their website says you can run their filter for 25,000 miles or 1 year if you're using their sythetic oil. I only run about half that many miles in a year, and considering it's only about $9 for the very high quality Wix/Napa Gold, I'd rather just change the filter every 5,000 miles when I do my synthetic oil change. I'm under the car already, and I have to remove the filter when draining, so why not put a new one on.

I've always used mobile1 filters (and oil). No way a fram has ever or will ever touch my G.
