Angry WTF: I need advice quickly

I was working on my 07 G35 today and dropped a washer, i cant find it in the engine bay and it was near the oil fill (cap removed).

I looked down the oil fill but didnt see anything, my question is if it did go down the oil fill would it fall harmlessly into the oil pan or could something seriously bad happen if i start my car?

How can i get in to see? Anyone have any advice? I can drive my other car for the time being but need to figure something out asap.

If you dropped a washer in the oil filer you need to take the valve cover off to remove it. It could do serious damage to the head / camshaft. Take your time in the day light and look on the floor, under pan, etc before you go crazy.

Well I highly doubt it would make its way down to the oil pan. It would most likely stay under the valve cover and eventually find its way into the cams or cam gears, etc. Anyway it would most likely spell bad news. Find that before you start that motor. Take the valve cover off to be sure. Just find that thing. Don't leave it!

I suck, i bought a 350z CF engine vocer and had to get some washers for it and with the oil cap removed i lost the washer right above the oil fill. Im going to search like crazy for it but i think it took the plunge.

What ever you do, do not start it. Take the valve cover off to ensure its not in there.

WHEW!!! Thats a scary ordeal. you should get one of those extendable magnets if you dont have one. It can really help in situations like that.
