AC gone bad?

A few things that happened when I turned on my AC this morning:

1) The air felt like it was 75 degrees regardless of increasing or decreasing the temp. I only felt a difference when I hit the two temperature extremes, which was 60 and 90 degrees. So basically I have to turn it way up or way down to get AC or heat.

2)After restarting the car, I turned on the AC again and this time there was constant AC until I turned the temp up to 90 degrees. That's when the AC stopped and heated air came out.

3)A few times I pushed the manual button, the unit changed back to auto/econ mode automatically.

4)It was changing modes while I was playing with the temperature adjustment.

All these problems were experienced was with the AC button on.

Have anyone on this board had the same problems????

Re: AC gone bad?

only problem i've heard with AC's were aftermarket intakes rubbing on the AC line.
otherwise, someone else can shed some light on this.
if u have no aftermarket electrical components interfering w/ur AC, then take it to the dealer.

Yea I was thinking the same thing when I first read your post header. If you do in fact have a aftermarket intake you should make sure its not putting a hole in your A/c Line.
