03 G35 Sedan Engine Swap for 05
Not exactly the same engine... if it's a manual then the 05 has a rev-up. Also, the early 03s (03.0) have a very different computer... that may not be a problem though.
If it's an AT it's the same engine though.
I can also tell you with lots of cars, little stuff like sensors etc... can be in different locations from year to year, but that's usually not much of a problem.

Why get specific if the OP isnt?

Why get specific if the OP isnt?
Because the OP might be unaware of the differances... he may not know how specific to be.
Better to be over-informed than under-informed.
And just so you know, my statement was not meant to be "correcting you" just giving the OP a little more info.

I guess im just being lazy today.
Is this for both manual and automatic? I have an automatic.
Automatic will have different connectors on the engine harness...plus ECU will not be able to control the exhaust timing becuase it is not setup for that.
Differrent O2 sensors, possibly different ECU, ...
not worth the extra cost to go to a revup unless you swap trans and engine along with ECU and TCU all at the same time.....(just not worth the cost)

Ok, so I did my research and I found out that the 05 AT sedan engines were NOT rev-up so it should fit in my 03 car. So besides changing ECU, sensors and connections, is there anything else I should be aware of?
Will my 03 tranny work with the 05 engine?
