Does Motordyne Plenum Spacer 5/16 increase HP?
No. In 05 they released what is referred to as the Rev-Up motor on the 6mt models. They gave it a new plenum, however this is not what increased the hp of the motor. That came from a couple other factors, ie.- variable exhaust timing and higher redline, etc. The new plenum actually makes the MotorDyne spacers not really effective. So MD released their own lower plenum for those motors called the MREV and now the MREV2 which is a revised model. They are retooled non-revup lowers that they work their magic on. These plenums do add power to the Rev-Up style motors and work very well when combined with their spacers.

None of the 5AT's have the REVUP engine. All you need is the spacer to see the gains.
For future reference, if you have a 6MT and have the REV light on your dashboard, you have a REVUP.

Although 5/16 spacer alone wouldn't do too much on the revup engine, combined with MREV2, it'll still create additional 5-7 HP/TQ with the addition of the spacer on top of the MREV2.
Please kindly let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!

Its a small piece of metal that goes in between the upper and lower plenum. It allows for better air flow to the forward cylinders.
Well in case i dont push it if i drive it normal will it burn more gas than being stock?Sorry for the noob question
If you drive slow or just normally, you really shouldn't notice much of a difference in mpg. But when you push it, the spacer allows more air into the engine, and to compensate for all the extra air, more gas is injected, thus giving you more power.
It's not TOO bad haha. I mean there's PLENTY of cars that have worse MPG out there so it's ok :P
^Basically, the 5/16" is more for low-mid rpm power, and the 1/2" is more for mid-high rpms. But the 1/2" makes a little more total power than the 5/16", and is a little louder. Since my daily commute is mostly city driving, I spend all my time in the low-mid rpms, that's why I have the 5/16" spacer.

. Our cars use up so much gas in stock form already, it's best not to think about it lol.
