Thats the only thing we have as a fuel filter is the pump sock.I hope you got a new o'ering as the old one will not be reusable.

The o'ring expands as soon as gas touch's it and it will be very tough to get it to seal properly again if it expanded.

How many miles on your car?

The filter looked fine, just a little discolored from the gas.

The sock doesn't need to be changed, thats why there is no recommended service interval for it. Its not like a normal inline filter.

Please tell me what the hell that has to do with gas mileage.A fuel filter has nothing to do with gas mileage.
