Grounding points On Kinetix SSV

Hello was jus wondering if any body has a diagram or pictures of grounding points on the Kinetix SSV and reason for this is because jus purchased a grounding kit and could not find any pic or diagrams of a grounding kit installed with a SSV

You can ground it to any one of the bolts that mount it to the block. Grounding the plenum isn't necessary since it doesn't contain any electrical components. Just make sure the throttle body is grounded.

I was told by a mechanic that the engine was alunimun( how ever u spell it lol) so even trying to ground it to the timing chain area was not a good idea because it wont ground. He told me that the only place that i can ground it is on the kinetix manifold since its metal. Is this TRUE ??????

^That sounds like BS to me. I doubt our engines are different, but the blocks/engine on vehicles need to be grounded inorder to run. I just did a continuity check on a 3ft aluminum bracket and its conductive.

I could be wrong since I'm not a mechanic so lets see if others chime in.

Aluminum is a metal. It does need to be grounded.

so is there an incorrect way to installing grounding wires where its losing power on coductivity ??? reason why im asking is because the install instructions are for the regular plenums rather than the SSV

Run away from this mechanic. Aluminum is METAL. It isn't magnetic, but it is metal and conducts electricity which is why it needs to be ground. On the 5AT the front 2 grounds you see on the timing chain are specifically for the transmission, FYI.

If you have extra wires just hook them an any grounding point.

Your kit didn't come with instructions? There are multiple grounding points throughout the engine bay. I have SxExCx's kit installed but can't remember where every point was. Look for wires that connect to the metal panels that surround the engine, you could also follow the OEM grounding wires to see where they're at.
