Cranks but doesnt start :/ please help!
Hi fellow G riders I need your help! I have a 05 IP coupe AT and my car wont start!
Story: I was taking out the center counsel to add an axillary cable for my pioneer double din navigation (IPBus). Everything was working fine and as i was finishing up by putting back the center finish piece that covers the shifter I noticed the bulb that illuminates the letters P-R-N-D. I took the bulb out and placed a 3v white led to it without a resistor like a noob and probably in the wrong polarity, but the led hot hot changed colors and fried. I thought nothing if it and put everything back together. I placed my key in the ignition turned the key and the car wont start! Interior and exterior lights work, the car cranks and I can hear the fuel pump a but it doesn't start, then the fans under the hood comes on full power. I went to the two fuse boxes and check for any blown fuses and there are none. They're all good! What isnt working besides the car not starting is the dimmer or illumination. When I turn on the headlights the interior night mode lights do not turn on, or can i adjust the illumination switch. rely? fuse somewhere else? I dunno, please help
Thanks you for reading.

So i had my friend who is an advance certified installer look at the car and the fuse for the tail lamp was blown on the so i wasn't getting a dimmer light. I replaced the switch and the illumination was working again. Yay! The bad is that the car wont start and he called his dad a mechanic to get a second opinion on his hunch and they both thought the same thing. Something triggered the immobilizer or there isn't a read on the resistance in the key to the engine...and i might have to take it to the dealer to reprogram. These symptoms fit the immobilizer issue 95% but the engine fan is on full blast...y? He says i can rule it out if i there is a spark from the plug. : ( i wonder how much it cost to reprogram a key if that is the issue..arm...leg?

Toasting an LED will not cause the car to not start. Are you sure EVERYTHING else is put back together right and what not. You may just be the victim of horrible coincidence. Been there. Installed new brake lights in my last car and then it wouldn't start. Turned out the remote start had let go and fried a bunch of other circuits, nothing to do with the brake lights.
