Fuel Filter
Fuel Filter
Just bought my son a 1996 G20 & the fuel filter needs to be changed out. I know this is the wrong forum but I have a G35 & know the knowledge base here is extreme. Can anyone point me to a how to? I can see it but not sure how complicated the job is.
Thanks for any help.
Thanks for any help.
its on the driver side on the firewall behind the motor. makes it a lil easier to get the hoses and clamps off if you take the intake piping off. normally the hoses are hard as hell to get off. i slit them a lil then cut off the ends and slide the new filter back on.
Thanks for the help. I was able to complete the job but did run in to a few difficulties. The upper hose would not release from the nipple & eventually broke off with the piece still in the hose! I worked it out with a needle nose. The new filter is metal but the old one had a plastic top. Not what I would recommend as a long term material exposed to gas. Very little room to operate so make sure you have a helper with small hands. MY son came in very handy
I'd also like to add Jiffylube wanted to charge me $79 for this job. When I declined, they lowered their offer to $49. I bought the part For 9.99 & did it myself. Feel sorry for the suckers that don't have the ability to do it themselves.
