So i have an 03 sedan with 141k miles on it and it has that annoying tick that VQs seem to acquire over time. I was curious if a full engine flush (from a shop) and 1qt of Lucas stabilizer might fix the ticking or if i should just let it ride.

I know i have seen posts where this tick could be timing chain/tensioner related (or possibly in need of shimming), but if that were the case, i believe the tick would come front the absolute front of the engine. My tick seems to be primarily on the passenger side front .

Any suggestions or advice would be great. thanks

 

it could still be the timing chain it ifs front passenger side of engine.
