I would have got the supercharger for it instead of gettin all the motor and transmission work done but my transmission overdrive went out and after driving on it for 2 weeks my motor busted the block and had to get both of them replaced in order for the car to run so it was something i had to do not that i wanted to spend that much on just the rebuilt motor and tranny

i checked every shop in MS for months and no one one would even work on my motor and i had to get my tranny worked on a totally different shop... to buy a used motor yes would have been cheaper but i would have also run into the same problem later on down the road and the transmission at the time i could not find a used one and brand new motor is 5000-7000 and brand new tranny is 4000-6000 from the places i checked including the dealership

i sure do hope you SAW the port work that was performed to the heads. and was the intake manifold and lower plenum port matched? did you reuse the stock internals or run forged parts? register on photobucket, tinypic, etc to put your pix on so you can link them on here. honestly, i would have picked up a used low mileage motor and tranny for 2-3k tops rather than do all that work....esp if you're not building for power.

You could have bought a used block for $500-800 and had it built -
go to www.my350z.com and search HEADGAMES they have a step by step on the 3 angle valve job and porting of the heads that they do. they show +40 CFM which is a ton of additional flow.

LOL. You could've had a built motor designed to handle over 600 whp for that money. Should've come on the forums first asking questions before you paid $7600 to basically rebuild a stock motor and transmission. Same goes for an auto transmission. It's the same labor cost, but you could've used internals good for 600 whp for just a few hundred bucks extra. On this platform, you've got options if you're going to invest in the labor, which is the expensive part...
