Re: PM's

just check with wells fargo and find out who deposited or cashed the check. they would obviously have that info.

randy_g,
the guy sent the seller TWO payments and still has NO PRODUCT. how is he being "over-the-top"?!?!? and how convenient is that that the item was shipped but was lost in the mail and the seller lost the receipt too. that's every mail order con-artist's excuse. well, just to let you know, it would be his burden of proof in court to show proof that the item was sent.

either way, NEVER ever buy anything online or with a private seller and pay with anything but a credit card or paypal. there's no recourse when you get scammed. i've read about and have known so many ppl that have gotten scammed because they sent a check or money order.

Wells Fargo

Z2G - The whole problem with the first check was that someone forged Jeremy's name as the endorser. The signature was VERY illegible but my bank's grievence with Wells Fargo is that they cashed the check without any ID. Now, I COULD go off right here & say that ID WAS presented & there was no forgery BUT I DO NOT want to make an accusation that I can't prove. In fact, that was the LAST thing on my mind as Jeremy seemed very concerned in the beginning that we get this straightened out. I don't know him so I'm not gonna go there. Unfortunately, I have dealt with him in this business capacity & while I DID NOT call him a crook, I would not do business with him again because of his total disregard to communicate with me to resolve this ( at least in the last month ). Perhaps I will try his cell number but how do I know that it's really him or that anything else will come of this? We'll see & I promise to keep everyone posted. Thanks for the encouragement & advice, gang!

Gene

Re: PM's

So pretty much this guy has no plans on giving or paying any of this people the stuff they deserve. Meangene you have every right to inform everyone on here. If anything it is good so no one else gives this guy money. Nothing against randy but I hate when people assume just because someone is a family man or makes money that they can do no wrong. This guy knows he is being talked about on here, and does not try to fix the issue or defend himself. More of his friends have spoken for him ( which I respect good friends are hard to find ), but the fact remains this is his problem not theirs. One guy is filing charges against him and team transport. So $hi^ is going to be messy and unless people want to go down with him it is just best to let these problems go on with him.

Re: Wells Fargo

meangene,
i bank at wells fargo. they ALWAYS check i.d. when you come in and cash a check. ALL places will be even more diligent when it's an out-of-state check too. also, to cash a check there, the person HAS TO HAVE an account with that bank. joe schmoe off the street without a wells fargo bank account CANNOT just go in and cash a random check there. the only time they don't check i.d. is obviously when you just want to deposit a check into your own bank account.

this is all very fishy to me!!!!!

Re: Wells Fargo

oh, by the way, if for some god-forsaken reason the bank didn't check i.d., i believe they are responsible. at least, that's the way it would stand in court.

either way, i DO NOT believe wells fargo cashed the check without getting his i.d. and account number. i cash checks at wells fargo all the time (once every couple weeks) and they ALWAYS ask for my i.d. and atm/debit card. if no i.d. was entered/required, it was an inside job. in those cases, the bank will have records on which employee did the transaction.

Re: Wells Fargo

Z - Bank One ( my bank ) agrees with your first paragraph in that Wells Fargo is responsible for reversing the charge back into my account as it's Jeremy's contention that he never received the check. He told me that he didn't bank there so it had to be a forged signature. That's what I also claimed ( that someone stole the check & cashed it - NEVER blamed Jeremy ! ). In the Bank One papers was a copy ( front & back ) of the endorsed check for him to see but since I've never heard from him since sending him the paperwork, I don't know his take on it. Unfortunately ( man, I'm using that word ALOT!! ), the paperwork that I sent Jeremy is exactly what Bank One needs from him to have an action plan against Wells Fargo. Until they get it back from him ( as I've done my share of the paperwork already ), Bank One can do nothing. This is probably my biggest complaint. All he had to do was return the paperwork & Wells Fargo would have to cough up the dough & NOT HIM!! It would not cost him one cent to handle this for me ( I included the postage paid envelope as well!!! ). Well, maybe his attorney would charge him a notary fee but considering all the grief I'm getting, it would just be a courteous gesture on his part to help me out. I don't deny that it very possible that the Post Office lost the package ( it DOES happen ) but also the paperwork?? Geez!

Re: PM's

what is your problem dude?!?!? you are SO OBTUSE!!!! no one here wants to start a war with you. we all just feel for the buyer who just lost about $760 and still doesn't have the item he supposedly purchased.

this is the exact reason why MANY members have left this forum....the maturity level has declined dramatically and we're left with ppl making asinine remarks to those trying to help or contribute to the forum discussion: (

Re: PM's

furthermore, it's ADVICE = noun. "advise" is a verb which means to give counsel.
