Replacing the spark plug well seals in the valve covers
#91
Crap again. Ok, why do these part # not work. I haven't taken mine apart yet because right now I only have 2 cars so when I do take it apart I need to have it back together that day. I'm going to do my spark plugs valve cover gaskets, oil change and hopefully rims tomorrow. If I can't figure it out I will use rtv or aircraft sealant. The seal from the vender may be a seal from a different car company or manufacturer. I kind of fell like it is the arc of covenant. Because that guy Andrei was getting close to finding the seal then he got banned for some odd reason. It shouldn't be a huge secret what seal works that is the essence of a forum or diy forum sharing ideas and helping each other with their vehicles.

It's also possible they (vendors) determined the dimensions and had them custom made by the handful of manufacturers across the country who do that sort of thing. Your frustration reminds me of how frustrated I was when trying to resolve that problem and track down the seal. The two part numbers are very similar in design...VERY, but they wont pop in place in our valve covers.BTW you are right, Andrei has an assload of extremely informative threads in reference to the subject

So far I have this site that has the type style seal but not the dimensions but I believe I'm getting closer.

It's gotta be outside of Nissan or someone would've noticed where they came from. If someone wants they can post a pic of the seals in all the different manufacture forums like Toyota n Honda etc lol. If no ones knows then they must not be from a car to begin with. But for watever reason those 2 vendors found then some how. Idk if they're partners or wat.

I'm going to autozone tomorrow and picking up these part numbers to see if they fit.

l looked on their site and found these that are similar but I just remembered the ones from the vendor "snap" into place which is making me think that it may be a repurposed transmission shaft seal. I'm burnt out for tonight gonna start working on my car tomorrow
