AF is air fuel ratio. THe ecu's generally need a reset any time you mess with one or the other so it can adapt to the new conditions you've provided.
motodyne instalation
There is a download installation pdf link there, I belive the second to last page has the directions to do the reset. Be patient, I was about to give up when it actually worked.
Good luck!

It will drive a little funny for a day or so, but then it will adapt to your driving style, not a horrible thing anyways...
If you still get a check engine I would recomend going to Infiniti for diagnostics. They will code the check engine and tell you what sensor is acting up and what should be done to resolve it.

You have to disconnect your battery for quite a while. If you search ecu reset you might find a literal timeframe, but you'd wanna leave it off at least over night. The capacitors(SP?) retain charge for quite a while. I'd recomend going thru the pedal reset, thats what the tech's do to reset. It's guaranteed to reset the ECU where as a battery disconnect you just assume it did.
Odds are you prob need a new MAF, but it's worth a shot to reset. And it may not be your MAF, you dont know what sensor is triggering the check engine unless you code it....

what is the actual code it is throwing?? easy way to figure out if the MAF is messed up is have the car running and unplug it. if the car changes the way it idles or runs within about 10 mins then the maf is good. im wondering if you would be throwing a p1283. i had this problem before and id disconnect the battery and about a half hour later popped back on.

How did you deal with the P1283 code? I'm having this code right now as well, had it before my UPREV tune and replaced all the O2 sensors by the headers. Got the tune, and about 200 miles later, got this p1283 again.
Thanks for your help!

hmmm i would def want to see what ur a/f ratio is holding constant at. when i had this code i actually bought the sensor to take with me in case they needed it but he was able to get my a/f to hold steady around 13.~ and the check engine light has not turned back on since the tune, ABOUT 800 miles ago and i did NOT replace the sensor either
