Over Heating ?

After 224k my oem radiator got a small leak in the top plastic end tank. Other than smelling coolant & checking the fluid once a week with no other issues...

So i ordered a Mishimoto Radiator for it & Installed with no issues. Now the gauge is saying it is running hot according to the stock gauge. I know these are not 100% accurate by any means and dont tell you the actual temp, which sucks imo! Although i dont think its really running hot bc of replacing the single core with a dual core it should be running cooler at this point! I just cant see how before i changed it i wasnt having any cooling issues & now i changed it for an upgraded all aluminum radiator with 2x the size it starts to overheat.

I started to check a few things out.
First check for any leaks, none- Checked amount of coolant level, seems to be full and have a little extra in the overflow tank. Then i checked the fan clutch & found the fan clutch was bad, when i turned the engine off the blade would keep spinning freely and it wasnt engaging...So i Replaced with a new fan clutch tonight, still same issue....(gauge says its running hot)
Next I thought maybe the thermostat was sticking or just flat out bad so i changed the thermostat out tonight as well...Same issue, running hot (according to the gauge).

Could the coolant temp sensor be bad?
Would a bad fan clutch cause the water pump to go bad?

Thanks Guys!

Are you sure all the air is out of the system, I had mine changed and it was a pain getting all the air out. I ended up taking it to the dealer after NTB couldnt do it and my car kept over heating.

I am not 100% sure that all the air is out the system. I have bleed the vent valve and left it run at idle for about 15-20 mins at regular idle rpm, then i held the rpms at 2000 for about 5 mins.

How do you tell if you have all the air out?

Not sure, with mine I attempted to vent the air myself. I let it idle for minutes on end and idled it to 2grand and it wouldn't over heat at all but as soon as I started drive ( 15 + minutes) it would start. I knew mine had air in it when I cut the heat on it wouldnt blow hot just warm. Once I got on the gas it would start blowing hot but when I went back to idle it would blow warm again. I could also hear liquid slashing around when I started from a stand still.

Wow, im curious to find out what your problem is as well... I just replaced the water pump at the dealer this weekend. Not cheap! But before i turned it in to them, i swapped the thermostat myself so I wouldnt have to deal with bleeding the system myself since they were going to do it anyway.

Im only at 77k and my waterpump went out. Maybe because i didnt do the coolant service on my car for 2 yrs. FML!
