Strange CEL incident....

I've got about 15,200 miles on my 04 AT coupe and yesterday i happened to get a service engine soon light. It was very odd, i wasn't even driving the car hard, i was in 3rd in the manual mode, and the car all of a sudden hiccuped, and the light came on. I reset the ECU usign the pedal method, and the same thing happened, not immediately after, but after about driving 30 miles or so. So i reset it again, and now i'm strictly driving in regular "D" mode, the problem is not showing up yet, but just makes me wonder what it could be? I'm thinking maybe its the MAF sensor getting clogged up because of my KN filter (which is still clean and i havent reoiled it)
Scheduling an appt. tomarrow morning with Service.

Any thoughts?

Oh yes, forgot to mention that the CEL is only appearing when in 3rd gear, in manual mode and only happens while accelerating.

Put on the stock airbox before the appointment if at all possible. They may try to hassle you about it.

Dont have to worry about that, my dealership is pretty "mod friendly." And also, very strange problem came out of the coupe, the Transmission control valve burnt out....thats why i couldn't shift into any other gear but 3rd. Getting it fixed today and hopefully get teh car back today as well.
