REV on 2005
What is the constant REV on the 2005 dash? It is always lit and the manual has nothing on it. I think the manual is for an auto, there is nothing for the rpm light, the 6mt, hand brake... hmmm.
If you push the trip meter button three times you'll see a number that represents when the REV light will flash. You can set it from 2000 to 8000 RPM. When the rpm goes above the number you set, a red light will flash under the REV sign once you reach within 500 rpm of the limit you set, then remain solid once past the set limit.
Yes, the REV (amber) will always be on. Just to pic a nit, the red light will start flashing somewhere around 400 RPM less than what you set. For instance, while I am in my break-in, I set the REV limit indicator to 4200 RPM so that I get the flashing red light around 3800 RPM. It's a nice feature now while I am trying to break the car in, but it will be pretty worthless after that.
yea its new for 05, the 350z have something similar to this in one of their little gauges that are on the dash, and an amer light blinks on the speedo when your 400 rpms than i believe comes on fully when you hit the set rpm....
