Unhappy SES, Sporadic Idle. Need some help.

So long story short I bought a 2nd car for my daily driver because my 80 mile(rt) drive to work was killing my wallet and putting too many miles on my G.

So it's been about two weeks since I've started the car. Saturday I decide to show her some love and take her out. All was fine at first until I got off the freeway and the idle didn't go lower than 1100-1200. I just thought that it was getting all the kinks out since it had been awhile.

Later it started having a very sporadic idle, going from 1200-2000 off and on, almost as if it was cycling. Then the SES light came on. I did an ECU reset in hopes that this would fix the problem but to no avail.

Also when I'm driving and I let off the accelerator it's very jerky on the deceleration.

Any ideas what it could be? My first two thoughts were that it needs a throttle body cleaning, or something with the MAF.

Hate to see her like this.

Sounds like the throttle body is going bad....do the reset procedure and see if it will reset for you. Do a search for throttle reset....search by relevancy
