I think you need to check the physical connections from the solenoid to the ECU, make sure your cam sensors are installed correctly, make sure your oil level is high enough

 

what year i have an 2007 g35x and there is 2 hoses in the way from the solenoid sliding out how do i get it out?

did u end up getting the vtc out?? or fix the problem I am having the same!!

 

you have to move the wire clamp down that is holding the big tube(comes from your rad into engine) and then there is one that is much thinner and is held on by a metal tube that the other tube goes in u have to go under your car and unbolt 3 bolts(that tube connects into your oil filter) once you take out the 3 bolts push it down and will have enough room to slide the solenoid out but it is still very tight msg back if you need photos hope you get it
