Yes, eventually you'd hit the hood and after that point increase the plenum volume to the point where it'd no longer help. You can make the plenum too large. Plenum size, port size (with that shape and length) all affect the powerband and where the motor makes power.

I'd love to hear pricing, what an install involves (expecially for those of us without the tools to do it ourselves), and if the stock engine cover can stay! Talk about a nice silent mod...

Of course, the one thing missing from those graphs is a stock VQ w/o the spacer OR Crawford... how much of a HP delta are you seeing over the stock car?

the 3/8" one will fit under the stock engine cover on a G35?

and, how do the hp/tq of the 3/8" and 1/2" versions compare to those of the 1/4" version that you posted?

I'm in for the largest spacer that will allow me to retain the stock engine cover on my G35 sedan (3/8?).

Someone mail me a check for $150, and ship you my quarter inch spacer. I didn't have any luck with it. Contact me @ sssloan@comcast.net if interested.
Thanks,
Shawn
