RPM increase when clutch depress normal?
RPM increase when clutch depress normal?
Hi I have recently purchased an 05 G35 Coupe 6MT with 67k and notice the rpm increase (and make a unusual noise) when clutch is dpressed during gear changes. The rpm will increase about 2-300 and drop back to normal in about 1-2 seconds. Is this normal? Some time it will make the same noise when I lift off the gas pedel without depressing the clutch. Has anyone experienced this?
I tried to search in the forum but can't find any post with similar problem. Hopefully someone can help me here. Thanks

Hi All, I found the problem. Not so much as the rpm increase but more of the unusual noise when I release the gas.
Checked my engine oil and its really low and when I drain it there is only about 2-2.5 qt in the engine. After I changed the oil everything is fine now. I guess the engine oil warning light does not comes on when it is low on oil. I hope there is not damage to the engine.
