^ Not hard to replace but Damn! What year and miles is your car? Good thing I replaced both of my belts today. Its an easy job, the hardest part was getting the bottom plastic cover off.

Okay, do you just remove that bolt that bolts the idler pulley on? or do you remove that whole bracket that's bolted to the block?

Car only has 74k on it, and I think less than 50k on the motor (previous owner had it replaced due to hydrolocked).

Does this idler pulley typically create problems? Hence why it gets deleted?

Sorry don't know of a DYI but lucky for us you should be able to remove the timing case cover without dropping the engine. It's a tight space but not impossible just a PITA

Hmm...looks like I may just cut that thing off and not go w/an idler pulley like these guys:

Although I don't understand what the "spacer" is for.

I think it's cause the bracket itself is already serving as a spacer so you can't just leave it off.

Something is odd. I think i have a Stillen Supercharger bracket w/the pulley on there as it looks nothing like what others have.

Ya, this looks like a Stillen-supplied bracket alright. Dang it!
