yes you would be able to eliminate the copper piece, as long as the tubing is the same size.

The original coolant lines run through the upper plenum, not the TB. The NWP TB is really the OEM 09+ Maxima TB and the coolant lines are integrated since the Maxima runs a plastic intake plenum.

In theory yes you wouldn't need the copper piece anymore. Only problem I can think of is getting the hoses to line up with how the NWP tubes are aimed, they look pointed in different directions to me.

The valve and the copper piece he's asking about are two different things. The copper replaces the need for that valve. You've been here long enough to know better...

Good catch

Sorry, but I don't follow every version of the spacer kits MD offers. I bought mine almost 3 years ago and it came with a valve. Maybe if people could be more descriptive when they post, any confusion can be avoided.

I am running a haltech with the dual wideband so it is set up to hit a target afr, one of the things I need to do is see if with that compensation off if it leans it out some. I have been working like a man man, I need to get it on the dyno asap.

I actually looked for a larger throttle body last night while looking for a replacement boot. I am happy to see this. I am curious though to know a few things about these dyno runs.

1.What other mods do you have?
2.Where did you find a Cosworth CF Intake Manifold?
3.Do you know or have any dyno test with the rev up motor?

I look forward to possibly getting this and adding it to my list of "breather" mods. Thanks for bringing this up on the threads!!

What is needed exactly to make this TB work. Is the piping that's needed the furookie 3.5? Also will the original maf sensor fit and perform properly in the furookie since not it's sitting at a diff dept within the piping? Of does that have to get changes also?

Order the kit from NWP and they give everything you need to make it work. I ran mine with the 3" Furookie until I found a 3.5" Furookie. No dyno numbers but didn't notice much a difference. And your stock MAF will be fine, assuming your mods don't require a "larger" sensor. It still sticks in the tube the same depth, just the diameter of the tube is larger, you will probably want some tuning done though after the install.

would the nwp deff have some effects if you go turbo or sc? ive read alot of threads and still dont see how this does any type of gain... like somebody said before, its like adding a tiny piece of wider straw to the middle..

That is a good analogy and from what I see to maximize gains from this throttle body you would need full exhaust and full intake. That includes valve work. You would also get more out of it if you did fuel system work too. Mods are like a math problem, meaning everything has to balance from the intake side to the exhaust or you won't get your moneys worth from it.

Ya I read a bunch of reviews on my350z last night. And came across one where the op had it dynoed and gain a solid 1 whp. Solo deff not worth the money imo

yes, but what were the gains throughout the powerband? even NWP's dyno sheet shows peak power loss.

No supposedly they where towards the claimed gain on the high end. I dunno they 350z forums all seems to point to the fact that the gains are no where close to what is shown on the nwp dyno sheets. And these are on rides with full bolt on mods

I have it and no gains were felt. Better off spending money elsewhere such as a lightweight driveshaft.

that what i was learning towards next! i did some research but wasnt 100% clear if the carbon fiber one is even worth it.

also is there any cons to having a one piece driveshaft? and will it handle 400whp? thanks!
