Right on man glad to help. Yeah I replaced mine without taking off the coolant hoses either.

It is really easy. Make sure you put the new o-ring in the same groove that you take the old one out of in the oil cooler. There are two different indents that the o-ring can fit into.

thank Jeebus for forums, it boggles my mind thinking of how many people have taken their car to the mechanic for this exact issue, and been sufficiently reamed accordingly.

I just did this last night, I thought someone here suggested pulling the passenger tire and accessing the oil filter and cooler through the wheel well. So I wasted 15min jacking, pulling the wheel, and fender/splash guards to find out it isn't possible on the G35x. Maybe it's possible on the coupe or 350z.. Just take off the under tray as shown on the previous page. The original orange o-ring seemed flattened.

Thanks Todd for this post! I cleaned out my garage so I could park my 07 coupe in there and I saw about five nickel to quarter sized oil drops in different spots where I parked. I looked underneath and, just like your oil pan, has oil all underneath the pan but I didn’t look deeper because of that plastic skid plate but I’m gonna grab that oil cooler o-ring and maybe that copper drain plug gasket.

It’s about time for an oil change anyway so I’ll get the oil pan cleaned and see if I still have a leak after I install the new gaskets. Thanks again for this post!
