SLIP, VDC off, SES lights
Ok so this is going to be my first post on this forum and I am going to try to make it as informative as possible. To start off, i have a 2004 G35x sedan, 99.9% stock with a cloned spoiler and third brake light that looks factory.
So long story short, my rear brakes were rubbing (sticking caliper) i rebuilt it, changed the pads and rotors, and was on my way. The next day, i had three lights come on and a VERY long crank when i started the car. It was cranking hard with full power and running PERFECTLY fine. The problem was it would crank for about four or so seconds (count mississippis in your head, it should not take this long).
So i took a drive to Auto Zone to get an OBD II scan and i got seven engine codes, nothing major, but the one i was worried about was the camshaft position sensor (CMP). This was engine code P0340. So over to the service manual. P0340 'Camshaft position sensor, no signal, or irregular pattern in signal bank 1'.
So thank the lord that bank 1 is the passanger side of the car and I do not need to take off the intake manifold to change it. I called auto zone and they had the part in stock ($70 total). went home, took the plastic engine cover off, and disconnected the battery. Found the little (green in my case) connector and removed it. I took the one bolt off that holds the sensor, and put the new one it. Connected the battery, and the car started right up normally. No lights, no extended crank, and still running strong. My vehicle had one owner and when i did the brakes they were bad, i wouldn't expect that anything was ever done mechanically to the car so one sensor in 140k isn't bad!

Let me know if this was helpful and what i can do for future posts!
P.S. I know the brakes and sensor weren't related, but i just wanted to be as informative as possible as to what changed and what could cause it.
