Bank 1 and Bank 2 Camshaft Position Sensors identical? 2005 Sedan 6mt

Hey guys so I replaced my Bank 1 camshaft position sensor successfully and when I pull off Bank 2 i notice that it looks nothing like the part I ordered. The sensor I removed looks exactly like Bank 1 and is not angled at all. Here is what I ordered:

My car is a 2005 Sedan 6mt.

At first I figured maybe the previous owner somehow got the wrong sensor on it and made it work but the one I ordered doesn't fit the green connector at all.

Needless to say I installed the old one back in and thankfully the car works fine and Bank 1 was the main issue. I was trying to replace both for piece of mind.

Can someone maybe shed some light on this or is my car retarded?

They are different on mine(I have 2003 6M).
It is possible there were revisions...did you supply your VIN when ordering? That's the only way to get correct one.

I did not, do part website's usually have a VIN input? I only saw year/make/model when ordering mine.

Hey there:

I learned after purchasing an '05 6MT that our cars (with REV engines) actually have four cam sensors.

On the drivers side, the exhaust sensor is straight while the intake sensor is angled. On the passenger side, the opposite is true.

Here is another post and check out page 101 of the .pdf

Thanks for the help EWT6MT, makes a lot more sense now. Luckily my car drives fine after only changing the passenger side. I know which one to purchase now if the driver side goes out.
