I recently had to swap my engine. The engine turns but will not start. I've checked all connections, changed the crank sensor, still no start. The donor is from an 06. Any suggestions?

 

check EVERYTHING, get in there with a volt meter. After you get it to turn over, start checking for spark, voltage to injectors, firing order, timing, fuel pressure, sensors all plugged in. Doing a whole swap means any number of issues can be occurring.

 

I've heard it could be a possible issue with the flywheel not aligning properly. Everything has been double-checked. The original throttle body was put on, new crank sensor, now replacing spark plugs (again - possibly flooded out). It started briefly and immediately shut off. Would not start again.

 

yes if you did not line up the flywheel correctly it will not start up as it will misread the timing.

 

Is this only on 6MT G's or for 5AT as well? Basically, could this misalignment happen on a 5AT?
