Slip light blinks fast at 40 mph + after crankshaft sensor replacement

So I just changed my crankshaft position sensor - not the camshaft(s) - and took it for a test spin. Immediately upon starting it up, I was thrilled because it started right away versus the turning over for 8-10 seconds before starting like with the bad sensor. Also the slip light was gone and so was the VDC off light (only one left on was the SES because I had not reset it yet).

Then I took it for a ride... got to about 30 and it seemed like it was losing power... and the slip light started blinking rapidly. I went around the block a couple of times... and it seems like I got it up to about 60 from a dead stop then declines in power. Tahts where I'm at.

Any ideas? BTW... it is ridiculously easy to change out the crankshaft sensor... nothing like the camshaft ones!!

Any help is appreciated!

Update... I reset the ECU manually and the CES light is now off. Took it for a test drive and still bogs down around 40 mph, and during this while the gas pedal is depressed, the slip light blinks fast. Foot off gas pedal, no slip light blinking.

Car has lots of power from a dead stop, if I get on it good... boom, I hit 60 no problem. If I take it slow and easy, the crap starts around 40 mph.

I will have to check... it's weird that it strated only after the crankshaft sensor was replaced. And no codes!!

Does anyone think it could be a bad sensor? I'm tempted to put the old one back in to check.

Well, I must have thrown the old one away. I did find out that if I turn VDC off, the engine runs normal as can be. VDC on, and it bogs down over 40ish. I am convinced that it has to do with ABS and what not. I need new rotors and could use new pads.
