I assume TB stands for Throttle Body. Would his issue be the position sensor , requiring, the closed Learn instructions for his Throttle Position Actuator?

Opinion please!

so my mechanic told my friend that they noticed his left bank 2 cam sensor was leaking, there were no codes, no dash lights or any indications that it needed replacement based on how it drives. They just recommend to replace both bank 1 and bank 2 sensors, car has 155k miles 05 coupe. I trust my mechanic and they have a very good reputation and well known in SoCal.

The battery reads bad and needs replacing. Should he go and replace the cam sensors or wait for it to fail? like I said there were no codes just found a leak on them. TYIA

That's what I thought, if it ain't broke, don't fix it?

Maybe all it needs is the o-ring? what is the part #?

Just know if the sensor fails it makes your car in limp mode. I would keep a set in the trunk. I have a story about one failing... Lol.. Wrong place wrong time.

6 speed G35 sedan
This is the after market cam position sensor the dealer I bought my car from put in...

With two of the three prongs not making contact with the plug, I'm amazed it actually ran pretty good. Was taking 5 seconds of cranking to start though. Replaced it with an OEM from my local Infiniti dealer. According to their parts guy you should have your VIN on hand to make sure you get the correct one.

Glad it was the passenger side one, can't even see the one on the driver's side.
