Using Uprev you can keep everything Can-Bus, there for allowing all communication between most nissan ecu's to be all connected cause they speak the same language. As long as the motor and car are both Can-Bus. ZFever has also performed a few swaps as I have been in communication with them and have made purchases from them. They are also currently building my headers as they are perform a swap in someone else's Z on site.

It has been done by a few shops now.

I am one of the only ones doing it mostly myself, while buying custom parts from people that have done it is what I think he was alluding to.

NP, I am just happy this is kicking off again. I know it seems like my progress is slow, but custom parts and than multiple issues with ordering new hardware. I had to order 5 new pieces, well slightly and gently used piece for the rear to get rid of all the damn rust. Hopefully I can show it all soon when ti arrives.

Thumbs up

I never concern myself with nay-sayers. Especially when they're not paying for anything, doing the work, or helping out. As long as you know it's getting done, that's all that matters. I can't wait to see the finished product.

I have to say the bills are not stupid crazy when install and building yourself. And the custom parts are reasonable for what they are and the guarantee.

The part that sucks, is the turn around for made to order parts!!!

Small update.

I have been fighting with the rear subframe bushings and they are killing me. they were on fire for an hour and wouldn't come out, drilled a ton, still wouldn't come out. I'm just taking it to a shop to get them out. This is annoying. I want to have the rear all assemble in 2 weeks to I can start motor prep.

I had the chance to get Titan VK56 for like 400 bucks from my buddy that worked at nissan.

Really wish I grabbed it when I had the chance.

Aaaand not holding my breath here. I want to see this completed in the worst way because I got very close to having this swap done by UpRev in Austin in 2011 but because they couldn't give me a ball park estimate for the complete job I decided not to do it. They had done it to a couple of Z drift cars that didn't require a lot of the electronics to be hooked up but never a full swap into a stock G retaining all of the stock functions. I got really excited though, IIRC these motors have 400/440 from the factory with a lot of upwards potential for big power from mods.

That being said too many fail threads on Driver so hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised and this will see itself through.....
