2004 Sedan weird noise
Hey everybody, got a question if this has happened to anyone else. I have a 04 G35 and am currently sitting at 179XXX miles.
When I start driving my car and start to reach around 1500-2000 rpms and between 30-40 MPH I'm hearing a noise, kinda like a belt sound when I have the gas pedal pressed only. Once my commute gets me to the interstate and I get up to around 60-70 and 2500ish RPMs the noise goes away completely. Once I get back off the interstate and get back into the range where I hear the noise pre-higher speeds I don't hear the noise any more.
First, does this sound like timing chain related? I would think that would be more constant hear at idle/not go away?
Any ideas what it might be? Any experience with similar issues?
Just threw a code, but didnt get to pull it tonight before I got home from work. Will update that tomorrow when I can get to a AutoZone
EDIT: Havent noticed or felt like any lack of acceleration or anything if that changes things
