Infiniti Diagnostics or OBD2 software on PC
Infiniti Diagnostics or OBD2 software on PC
My 03 G sedan is at 201K, I bought it about 4 weeks ago and digging in the factory manual and papers I have found no evidence the car ever went through any kind of Infiniti Servicing. The engine feels great, sounds great. Not so good gas mileage though. Not sure how much MPg yet because I fixed a air leak and replaced the clogged filter and cleaned the MAf sensor.
The timing cover has like 5 different numbers written on it in yellow in various locations and the oil even after a month of driving still looks brand new. So I can assume its a reman.
I have a bluetooth OBD2 dongle arriving Friday. Should I data log my own real time info that I can with the software thats out there. Or should I let Infiniti run a diagnostic. I haven't reset the ECU at all so info should be there. It is not throwing any codes and passed emissions. There are various small issues I want to look at but not sure what the problem is yet. I know cars and they aren't just off and on. Alot of times some things can be prevented.
Let me know your thoughts

Im now using Torque Pro and have a few data logs if anyone can chime on my findings.
Long term fuel trim 1 and 2 is staying close together but Short term fuel trim 1 and 2 vary. 2 could say 7% while 1 will say 0 or even dip -1 or -2. This is cruising at highway speeds. Vacuum is staying around 22-23. At idle sitting in traffic my timing will drop to 9.0 but at startup decent temps timing will sit at 15-17. Voltage no matter what is sitting at 12.7 to 13.0 which I think is kinda low. Coolant, etc is well.
Trying to figure out why my highway gas mileage is so horrible. I'm getting about 180-200 on 3/4 of a tank driving at 55-65 MPH commuting. No codes or pending codes showing either
