Transmission leak?

Transmission leak?
So today I pulled out a motor with the trans from a scrap car. Anyways when the engine and trans were both on a 45 degree angle being pulled.... oil leaked out of the trans where it connects to the drive shaft... is this normal since it was elevated at such angle?
