Coils and Plugs

So I recently read a blog that was talking about how copper spark plugs offer the best performance for an engine because they conduct better than Iridium or platinum plug but they do not last as long. about 30k miles ago I switched to NGK Iridium and have not noticed any issues but I have been thinking about how to grab some extra engine performance on a budget. On the same hand I do not believe the coil packs have ever been changed on my 03 G and could probably stand to be changed. They have about 138k on the coil packs if they truly are OEM. I am wondering 1. if the claims about copper plugs are true and if show which one's should I use. Also would replacing the very old coils benefit me at all at this point since they all seem to be working fine, or am I trying to fix something that isn't broken.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Also, "one's" shouldn't have an apostrophe.

As for the coils, I've only read about people replacing them due to misfire at high rpm, so if you're really not having any issues I wouldn't worry about it.
