engaging the clutch stalls the engine
Hey guys, I'm wondering if you guys could help me out with something. I have a 2004 G35 coupe and whenever it's idling at running temperature and I engage the clutch the car stutters and dies or stalls. I replace the spark plugs on it and all the cam and crankshaft sensors, I can't seem to find the problem and recently it started overheating when I would drive it. if any of yall have suggestions or ideas to fix this I would appreciate it.
Are you giving it gas when you release the clutch?
Jack up the car and spin all the tires to make sure you don't have a brake caliper seized up.
Overheating problem, check coolant levels. If they look good then pressure test the system, including the cap, if it can't build pressure it will overheat eventually.

I already checked all of that, and a car shouldn't die just by putting in the clutch. I'm not putting it in gear or anything in just pushing the pedal down and it dies. and when I'm driving down the road and I press the clutch the car dies.
Ohhh when you DISENGAGE the clutch it dies. Probably a bad idle algorithm.
Perform the idle air recalibration.

So maybe that's why my cruise control isn't working? Light comes on to show the system is on but it won't set speed.

I did the idle recalibration procedure and it still has the problem of staying alive during idle. if it's at running temperature it struggles to stay alive but if I disengage the clutch it losses revs and sometimes it will still stay running but then other times it dies. does anyone else have an idea to what this might be? Oh, and I already smoked tested it so there are no leaks in the vacuum system.
