TechnoSquare ECU will be available for G35/G35C

Re: TechnoSquare ECU will be available for G35/G35
The G35 Coupe and Sedan ECUs are still on hold once we get the Z programming done..
i need to find:
G35Sedan Auto and G35Sedan Stick ECU beta testers..
which will mean their ECU will be sent to japan for the initial unlocking of the ECU..
if you have a G35 Sedan (auto or MT) and dont mind having your car down for ~2weeks, in return you will get a free ECU upgrade...
please email me for more information,
Cheston

Re: TechnoSquare ECU will be available for G35/G35
I would not mind getting or testing this ECU as long as there is like a switch or like a quick way through a laptop or pocket pc to get it back to defualt mode. So I am not sure but are you also working on a mod to get the G35 coupes ecu on the sedan? How about 350Z on the sedan?

TechnoSquare ECU will be available for G35/G35C
Hi Guys!
My Name is Cheston, i'm a 350z owner/enthusiast and i work with Kyle/Yuichi at StrictlyZ.com (owners of this site)
I've been working with a company in southern california to produce a new ECU reprogram for the 350z (which happens to have nearly identical ECU as the G35Coupe) and its on the final stages of research/development (we've been working on it since Feb) and we should have a good program out in two weeks...
I just wanted to let you know about it and what i does:
Readjusts the Timing/Fuel mappings of the stock ecu to a more 'aggressive' program that still maintains 'drivability' with 91 octane (or higher) and you will see more hp/trq gains throughout out the rpm band. This will use your exsisting G35 ECU, since it is a flash ROM, which is reprogrammable...
If you've been looking for that mod that will 'open the doors' for future power modifications, this is it.. i understand if you're skeptical.. but the Z and the G35 share very similar traits..
for more information about what I've been doing with TechnoSquare, please visit my Cardomain Site, where i have the writeup:

Thanks very much,

Re: TechnoSquare ECU will be available for G35/G35C
Cheston;
Just curious as to why you chose remapping the stock eprom, as opposed to developing either a piggyback device, or a replacement device? From what I've seen of the piggyback devices available for other vehicles, they can be reprogrammed with a set of buttons. They can be optimized for a particular set of installed modifications. And these devices don't generally cost a huge amout of money, either.

BMW 3 now.

Re: TechnoSquare ECU will be available for G35/G35C
just to let you know, last night I race my coupe with a 350 all the way to 150mph. He won by a car only. (350Z-AEM-Stillen EX and my G Injen CAI-StillenEX). We didn't go faster because he had already won. So yes here in PR we could go faster than 155. I use to do it a lot on my 95 Supra(708rwhp). As far as the rev limit, I dont think so.

RacerX:
i tend to shy away from Piggy Back ECU devices.. they tend to alter a little more than just your intended values.. such as the SuperAFC from Apexi, which is strictly an Air to Fuel ratio changer, but from past expereiences they tend to also alter your timing inadvertently after the changes have been made.. and that still wont prevent the ECU from trying to alter its stock air/fuel program back to its original state after the sensing the piggy-back's changes.
with our G35/350Z ecu.. one of the main problems is that the stock program is ALWAYS trying to go back to its original state.. so by altering the core program.. we can make more power with the future modifications you put on...

Re: TechnoSquare ECU will be available for G35/G35C
Question: Will this mod allow me to pass smog?
I ask cuz, I had a friend with a 300Z with an ECU upgrade and he could not pass smog. He passed on everything except when they tested the car at idle. His output was 5 times higher than the alloowed output. He ran too rich. Therefore tagging him as a GROSS POLLUTOR. Thanks for the info.
