Which radiator for 05 G35 5AT Coupe? Oil cooler?

Hey guys so my radiator cracked or separated somwhere... im thinking its where the plastic meets the metal on the top section, can't see exactly where it's leaking from but it pools and drips off that area. It got much worse last night and almost overheated until I parked and filled her up to get her home.

Looking at the part numbers for the available radiators, there are several that show for my year/model. I need the one with the oil cooler right? Was going to order from the usual Rockauto but need one asap now and will be forced to go to autozone/advance/oreily.

2005 G35 Coupe, Automatic trans

Need it by tomorrow morning, thank you in advance!

Yes, since you have the 5AT, you need the oil cooler in the radiator OR you'll need to mount a seperate cooler for the transmission somewhere.

PSA: DO NOT BUY the CSF radiator from RockAuto. I replaced my OEM original radiator with that CSF and the rubbish lasted less than a year before it started leaking at the tanks.
I replaced said rubbish with an all-aluminum 2-core Koyorad V2588 and have a TruCool transmission cooler mounted up front. Very happy with the set up.

Nothing wrong with an AutoZone radiator. They are more expensive (~$170), but they are 'guaranteed for life' as long you own the car. I worked at AutoZone for over a year and I never personally nor witnessed a radiator get warrantied.

Thank you for the help, especially the heads up about that brand from Rock Auto! Heading to pick one up now....

Im going to use the generic extended life coolant unless a specific type is required? Few search results say to only use Silicate free coolant but many other one say the regular stuff works fine.

Green coolant is what was in the car now.

Got mine at NAPA...and green coolant at O'Reilly.

Make extra damn sure that the fixtures on the new radiator for the AT coolant lines are correct/same size as your oem ones...this is where the OEM replacements miss the mark.

Bring the original radiator with you to contrast and compare!

If you plan to run a separate oil cooler, then I guess it won't matter.

I planned to just do an OEM style replacement with the oil cooler built in, same as the factory radiator. Picked up some Preston Extended Life "All Vehicles". Autozone only had the 6MT radiator without the oil cooler, gonna check out Advance or Oreily next...

On that note, make sure your drain plug on the new radiator its good.
The prelude to the death of my CSF was that the drain plug cracked when I went to drain the coolant out to replace a heater hose. Dorman has you covered
Amazon Amazon
I'd pick one up just to be safe.

Good to know. The plastic bleeder valve just stripped out instantly when I tried to turn it with a Phillips screwdriver... the link you sent looks almost just like the bleeder valve. I need a replacement one now.

The bleeder port on the heater hose? If so, joint the club!
Ideally you'd want to replace that with a metal one. Z1, ConceptZ and GKTech all make them nowadays. Odds are your local Nissan or Infiniti dealer probably have one, as its super common for them to fail/strip/crack

Yep that's the one! Lol. Yeah I literally was able to screw it once, I tightened it back down very gently because I realized it was plastic, and didnt want the next time I loosened it to be a pita. Thing stripped with like minimal force.

Ill check out the replacement thanks man!
