Could I swap an 06 G35x motor into an 04 coupe?

I have a 2006 G35X that is a little rough as far as fit and finish goes. The previous owner had removed the front CV axles, (leaving the spindles in still) making it RWD and it's just having little issues here and there. I have come across a 2004 coupe that looks to be in great shape, but the motor is done for, supposedly because it was ran without oil. Its at a local auction that will happen in Saturday, so I'm considering bidding if the swap can happen easily. My motor is running great, and I already have an over sized throttle body installed. Both vehicles are automatic also.

Would this be a plug and play swap with enough parts from my donor sedan? And are there particular parts from the coupe like engine accessories that I should swap to the sedan motor if it is a possible swap?

It's a pretty straightforward swap, you will need to keep the upper oil pan/lower oil pan and maybe the oil pan baffle from the coupe because your AWD model has a big hole in the middle where the CV axle goes through it. Other than that they're the same.

You will need to buy a new rear main seal (might as well replace it while the motors are out and it's an inexpensive component) and oil pan gasket, and a tube of permatex ultra grey rtv sealant. Should be all the parts you need.

Unbolt the AC compressor and leave the hoses connected, tie it in the engine bay out of the way. This way you won't have to worry about recharging the refrigerant.
