Rev up Lifters

So I have a spare rev up in storage that I want to build for boost. One of the questions I have is what size are the G35 rev-up lifters? I keep finding responses about measuring clearance and stuff but I am going to rebuild head and block so out with the old and in with the new. I am going with the JWT s7 cams if that makes a difference. Since I'm getting new parts (valves, springs, cams, lifters, and etc) wont the lifters just be one size since there wont be any wear on them due to them being new? Or am I missing the point here? No hate y'all, I am learning! lmao Thanks in advance!!

Yes you have to measure the clearance on EACH lifter bucket and install the exact one that fits. They come in like 30 different sizes each for both intake and exhaust lifter buckets and each engine is individually assembled to meet intake and exhaust valve clearance specification.

Put the cams in, measure clearance for each valve, go through your existing lifter buckets and micrometer them all to verify each is still within spec (since they're used they probably all shrunk a little) then reuse the ones you are able and order new ones for the ones that don't fit.

Are you SURE you kit is coming with lifter buckets? If so then they have already done the math for valve height vs cam profile and mathed out a set for you. Just be aware that each valve and each lifter bucket will be for a VERY SPECIFIC HOLE, I strongly doubt it's all coming as a kit like this though unless you are buying an assembled head.

The tolerances on those things are pretty tight, I think it's .010 intake and .015 exhaust but I'd have to double check the FSM for that, can't remember but that's pretty standard on OHC motors.

Make sure you check clearances again after everything is assembled, don't just trust that your math was right.
