Got a 04 g35 swapped in a 350z de with the wire harness got everything hooked up but crank no start Security is solid red while cranking the radiator fans instantly turn on when cranks fuel pump not priming and obd2 not getting any reading with scanner (not even lighting up) my assumption was the NATS so I went to the guy who had sold me the motor and was able to the the ECM and BCM along with the key and ignition to it. Tried to swap out the BCM but the plugs from the 04 harness don’t match with 03 350z BCM and now I’m stuck at a loss of 500$ for a useless ECM thinking it was simply plug and play. Can anybody help me out and lead me to the right direction before I yank my hair out 😀

 

Keep your existing ECM/BCM, ignition module, and keys. Otherwise you need to have the dealership reprogram everything to make it work (or use Nissan Datascan 2). This stuff is definitely not plug and play.

The radiator fans turning on with the ignition on is a sign of a problem with the IPDM not receiving signal from the ECM. Check the fusible link, and IPDM to make sure you didn't blow a fuse.

Did the IPDM get wet by chance?

 

IPDM had no blown fuses but I do suspect it might have gotten wet I tried to swap it out with a 350z IPDM last week but there was one plug that was different thus at a loss again. The 04g35 wire harness seems different I guess
