G35 ipdm or short or??

Hey guys, I have. 2008 G35 sedan and the battery will get drained completely if I don't start the car every day or ever other day at the least. I have not found any big drains doing a parasitic draw test. The cd changer is broken in the back, and I also get a code for manual mode switch failure, though the manual mode seems to work fine. The code I am curious about is I recently got a starter relay failure code. It is to my knowledge that the starter relay is incorporated within the INTELLIGENT POWER DISTRIBUTION MODULE. I am curious as to if this component could be the source of the drain of the battery, Also wondering if the IPDM can be replaced with an ebay one or anything off the shelf 'plug n play' with no flashing or programming required? Thank you!

IPDM is just a conduit to the stuff that actually uses power, I've never seen a parasitic draw that was actually caused by the IPDM itself. However, yes they are plug and play as long as you get the EXACT same part number, there were many variations so you would need to pull yours to see that part number.

Chances are something else is the culprit for your parasitic draw, start by pulling the fuse for the CD changer, that's usually the culprit, especially since yours is not functioning properly.
