U1000, P0462 code after valve body reinstall. No crank, no start
Back in 2019 I installed a valve body. I purchased refurbished from eBay. After install I realized I did the whole installation wrong ant had a screw or two left over. After installation the car would shift hard in automatic but I was able to easily shift in manual, also my at indicator went blank. In addition to those issues I would randomly get no start, no crank. Sometimes I could get the car to start in neutral other times, I would just have to wait it out. After being fed up with this. I decided to drop the valve body and reinstall it correctly discovering some pinched wires which I've mended and heat shrunk. After reinstallation I'm still getting the u1000 code along with the p0462 code. After researching I have pulled the ipdm and discovered corroded, relays, fuses and sockets. I'm also trying to pull the battery pan, however the bolts are extremely rusted so I have purchased an Amazon bolt kit to remove them tomorrow suspecting the culprit is watering. My question is is it worth cleaning the ipdm perhaps opening it up soldering anything that's broken? Or should I just purchase a brand new one or one from eBay?I also checked my ground terminal it looks suspect. Pictures below. Valve, body and ipdm
P0462 is the fuel level sensor malfunctioning, typically you'll just have a gas gauge that doesn't work or only goes down to 1/2 tank and stops. Unrelated to your other issues probably.
As for the IPDM, get the part number off the back of it and source another used one, with that much corrosion it's PROBABLY unfixable but I usually do a full disassemble (down to the PCB) and look for any other damage and try to clean things up with a PLASTIC SAFE electrical contact cleaner, reassemble, try it out to see if it starts miraculously working again.
Typically you see that kind of IPDM damage from a clogged cowl drain above the battery, water tends to pour directly onto the IPDM when the drain is plugged up with leaves.

Yup did just that, Removed IPDM opened her up cleaned all the corrosion that I saw and damaged areas. I cleaned all fuses, relays and harnesses, as well as bench testing relays and fuses along with a continuity test on the harnesses and IPDM. There was evident water damage, small puddles in the batt tray, however I couldn't remove it because the bolts were rusted away to nubs...I was only able to remove one. So I cleaned the area best I could with electric cleaner and a leaf-blower (removed all the water and debris) clearing the drain hole. After all assembled she started right up, however AT indicator still is blank no gears is be indicated on the cluster and ses is still on haven't run another diagnostic yet to check codes, but once I do I will post and get back to you. I'm thinking the cluster is bad
