Timing chain
Timing chain
Has anyone replaced a timing chain after it failed? I’m currently at that point and I wanted to know if your motor ran fine after, I’ve already took a bore scope to each cylinder and im open to any other pre cautions to make sure its not damaged. Also is there anything else I should replace while im in there?
If you're replacing the timing chain, I'd suggest getting the whole kit and replacing the guides and tensioners as well. Wouldn't hurt to replace the galley gaskets with the updated ones as well as replace the water pump.
If the timing chain already went bad what else should I replace
Same as above. If its too far gone, you'll be replacing the engine.
What makes you think your timing chain has gone bad?
