As far as the ECU is concerned, both Technosquare and AlteredAtmoshpere offer ECU reflashes. Technosquare seems to be the most popular one here on the forum. Also another (but ver expensive) option is the Unichip Piggy Back ECU Module but expect to shell out a good $800 for it . Stillen also is supposedly developing a piggy back setup for the VQ, but nothing is out yet and no word on pricing.

And you said that technosquare is the most popular...? How is the hp addition to that one, or is the piggy back one better??

Don't forget to add another $200-$300 for Dyno time to custom tune the maps.

Don't forget. If you don't live nearby, you'll also have some down time on your car, and will be paying to ship your ECU back and forth to Technosquare!

As you can tell from some of the posts here, ECU upgrades aren't just plug and play. I'd say gains would be about the same with any one of these methods. What I reccomend doing is waiting till you've completed all the performance mods on your car then send the ECU off to Technosquare. They can custom tune it to your setup and since you'll be completely finished, it will be the only time you'll need to send it away.

I'm not very familiar with ECU flashes. What companies offer flashing that can be reversed or changed without any problems? I've heard of flashes that are done by just plugging your chip into a computer so there is nothing permanent.
