Talking

I quickly read over the installation steps and while it is sounds more complicated than the ztube/k&n installation, it seems doable. My main question was how do you measure 5 torques without having a 5 torque wrench and is it that important to have the exact measure. In other words, can I guesstimate it?

Also, is there a picture by picture guide of this installation as a supplement to Tony's official installation manual?

If not, can some one make it (quick)

BTW, just ordered my 3/8" spacer from Tony, must have emailed the poor guy 35 times about random questions, although he fully answered my question, a definite pleasure to work with.

Coo...So, if I have the $$$, should I get the spacer or should I get a new plenum like the APS Tallboy?

I would be very careful about "guesstimating" when working with the plenum. The metal is very soft and easy to strip, and there have been instances of broken bolts. You may want to invest in a torque wrench or borrow one from somebody.

I don't have a torque wrench of my own, but I will probably just borrow one from the cleanroom lab at work

The dyno graph shown below only shows a 7-8 RWHP gain with the 1/2" spacer. I thought it was more than that?!?! Anyone else have any before/after dynos?

If you have the sedan, the 1/2" still fits with the engine cover(at least the 5AT version which is what I've got). It took about an hour. Yes those plenum bolts only need a couple ft-lbs of torque which isn't much. The plenum seemed to help out alot at 3.5k rpm up to redline. The mod like most will tell you rocks!

the dynos vary depending on car and other mods, 8 - 12 RWHP at peak is the range.

If you are not very sure of yourself, go to the local autostore - you get a torque wrench for about 10 bucks

I am waiting to receive my spacer from Tony, which btw is a class act through and through.

I read over his instructions and am a bit intimidated about installing the spacer. How was every one's experience with the install? Any thing I should watch out for? Any tricks that might not have been mentioned by the instruction? Any advice that u wish you knew bofore installing the spacer?

Thanks

Using the average value of 3 pre mod runs and 3 post mod runs, it was 9.285 HP gain to be exact.
